Overview: The Four Ways to Deposit to Your Solid Card

Looking to transfer USDC to your card or top up your Solid Card balance? This guide covers every option, whether your funds are already in Solid, sitting in an external wallet like MetaMask or Coinbase, or still in your local bank account.

To get started, tap Add Funds on the Wallet home screen and select Add to card. You'll see these options:

  1. Transfer from wallet/savings: move funds you already hold in Solid
  2. Send from your crypto wallet: connect an external wallet and deposit directly to your card
  3. Share your deposit address: send supported tokens to your card deposit address from any wallet or exchange
  4. Cash deposit: pay in your local currency from your bank or mobile money wallet (16 currencies, powered by TransFi)

The key difference is where your funds are located before depositing. If your card is issued by Wirex, the options are different: see If your card is issued by Wirex below, including how to fund a EUR balance with EURC.

Minimum card deposit: $10

Card deposits must be at least $10. A deposit under $10 sent to your card goes to your Solid Wallet instead and shows as Sent to Safe. Nothing is lost, but the card can't spend that money until you move it onto the card.

Your card only spends its Spendable balance, shown at the top of the card screen. The total balance in the app also counts your Wallet and Savings, so it can be higher than what the card can use.

Option 1: Transfer from wallet/savings

This is the fastest and simplest way to fund your Solid Card.

When should you use this option?

Use Transfer from wallet/savings if:

  • You already have soUSD inside Solid Wallet
  • Your funds are on Fuse (Solid's native network)
  • Your assets are in Savings or your Solid Wallet

How it works

  1. Tap Add Funds on the Wallet home screen
  2. Select Add to card, then Transfer from wallet/savings
  3. Choose the source:
    • Wallet
    • Savings
  4. Enter the amount
  5. Confirm the deposit

That's it. Your card balance updates almost instantly.

Important note about soUSD

If you already hold soUSD, this is the recommended path.
soUSD is Solid's native savings asset, designed to earn yield and move seamlessly across the app, including the card.

Option 2: Send from your crypto wallet

This option is for users who hold crypto outside of Solid.

When should you use this option?

Use Send from your crypto wallet if:

  • Your USDC is in MetaMask, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet, etc.
  • Your funds are on networks like:
    • Ethereum
    • Arbitrum
    • Base
    • Other supported chains

How it works

  1. Tap Add Funds on the Wallet home screen
  2. Select Add to card, then Send from your crypto wallet
  3. Connect your wallet (MetaMask, Rabby, WalletConnect, etc.)
  4. Choose the network and token (e.g. USDC on Ethereum)
  5. Enter the amount and confirm

Solid will handle the rest:

  • Bridging
  • Conversion
  • Gas abstraction

You don't need to manually bridge or swap. The funds go straight to your card balance.

Option 3: Share your deposit address

Prefer to send funds manually, or depositing from an exchange? Use your card deposit address.

How it works

  1. Tap Add Funds on the Wallet home screen
  2. Select Add to card, then Share your deposit address
  3. Copy the address or scan the QR code
  4. Send supported tokens to that address from a supported network

Once received, your card balance updates automatically. You can follow the live status of your deposit in the app.

Option 4: Cash deposit (pay in your own currency)

No crypto yet? You can fund your card straight from your bank account or mobile money wallet in 16 local currencies: 🇦🇷 ARS · 🇧🇩 BDT · 🇧🇷 BRL · 🇨🇴 COP · 🇪🇺 EUR · 🇬🇭 GHS · 🇮🇩 IDR · 🇰🇪 KES · 🇲🇾 MYR · 🇲🇽 MXN · 🇳🇬 NGN · 🇵🇪 PEN · 🇵🇭 PHP · 🇦🇪 AED · 🇺🇬 UGX · 🇿🇲 ZMW, using local methods like Pix, bKash, GCash, SPEI, SEPA, M-Pesa or QRIS. Local rails are powered by TransFi.

How it works

  1. Tap Add Funds on the Wallet home screen
  2. In the Fund your card sheet, pick your currency under Cash deposit (tap Show more for the full list)
  3. On the Buy crypto screen, enter the USDC amount, choose your method under Pay with, and check the rate, fees, total and limits shown
  4. Tap Continue to payment, confirm the order, complete the one-time TransFi verification if asked, and pay from your bank or mobile money app

When the order shows Crypto Delivered, the USDC is in your card balance. Full country list and FAQ: Deposit your local currency into Solid. Detailed walkthrough: How to deposit your local currency: step by step.

If your card is issued by Wirex

On a Wirex card there is no Transfer from wallet/savings or Move from Solid option. When you tap Add money to card, you'll see two choices: Crypto and Cash.

To move money that is already in your Solid Wallet onto the card, choose Crypto, select the token you hold in your Wallet (for example USDC) and follow the steps on screen. The $10 minimum applies.

Your Wirex card does not spend directly from your Wallet. Only the money on the card (your Spendable balance) can be used for purchases.

Funding a EUR balance (Wirex cards)

Wirex cardholders can also hold a euro balance and pay euro purchases from it one for one, with no conversion and no FX fee. The euro balance is held in EURC, a euro stablecoin issued by Circle.

  1. On your card page, tap Enable EURC spending and confirm.
  2. Send EURC on the Base network to your Solid wallet address (under Settings > Account, or via Add Funds > Crypto > Share your deposit address with the network set to Base).
  3. Once it lands, your euro balance shows on the card page next to your dollar balance. EURC deposits are free.

Send EURC on Base only, and to your Solid wallet address, not to a Savings vault deposit address: vault addresses only accept their own asset and EURC sent there will not reach your euro balance. Euro bank transfers (SEPA or Cash deposit) still land in your dollar balance for now. How payments, fallbacks and refunds work: Spending euros with Solid.

Quick Decision Guide

You have soUSD already?
→ Use Transfer from wallet/savings (Wirex cards: Crypto)

You have USDC on Ethereum, Arbitrum, or another chain?
→ Use Send from your crypto wallet

Sending from an exchange, or prefer a manual transfer?
→ Use Share your deposit address

No crypto, just your bank or mobile money account?
→ Use Cash deposit

Wirex card and you want to pay in euros with no FX fee?
→ Enable EURC spending on the card page and send EURC on Base to your Solid wallet address

Whichever option you use, send at least $10 so the deposit lands on the card.
